Gymnocalycium Pflanzii

A green coloured cactus with a globose body that is slightly depressed at the apex.

It can reach 15 cm in diameter.

It has 8 to 12 ribs with large tubercles and woolly areoles.

Spines emerge from the areoles, which are radial, and only have 1 or 2 longer central spines.

The colour of this Gymnocalycium is green with a very curious velvet appearance.

Outdoors, it tolerates low temperatures well but not frost.

The flowers are whitish-pink and appear on the top of the cactus.
